About Us
White Oak Farm Venue is a beautiful, one of a kind, serene 83 acres located on the outskirts of Michigan City Indiana.
Come and enjoy the property, from the fields to the woods, the pond, the down sloped meadow, lots of wildlife, canopy wooded lane, trails, AND two beautiful barn venues to choose from!
In 2016, Greg and Rebecca Engstrom bought the once working farm with a vision in mind. Greg was a real estate broker (one of his many hats) and both him and his wife Rebecca, always loved the property because it was so unique, with two houses, outbuildings, barns, woods and farmland to offer, a place loaded with character. It was on the market for awhile, the farmers only wanted the farmland, couples only wanted the houses, no real interest in just the woods. However, Greg and Rebecca saw this place as a hidden gem. Can’t think of a better place to offer ALL of the benefits of a country setting for family and friends to gather and enjoy their special day.

The Beginning
This is where Greg and Rebecca began in creating White Oak Farm Venue. The idea was to rehab this barn, and after nearly two years, realized this was not feasible. The barn was disassembled and now you will find the wood in both the Cedar and Poplar Barn in the bar areas. This is where the Poplar Barn now sits.
The History
DATING BACK TO THE TURN OF THE CENTURY.
Harry Frey was the original owner of the property and a pillar of the community. He owned a local lumber company in Michigan City Indiana, and looks to have had more than just lumber. We found four scrapbooks full of newspaper clippings from the 1940’s, of what the lumber yard had to offer.
